About

I am a History professor at  St. John's University in Queens, New York and the Lloyd Sealy Research Fellow at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.  Recently, I  co-edited with Andrae Marak of the forthcoming Transnational Flows of Contraband and Vice in North America: Historical Perspectives.  Currently, I am completing a book-length manuscript on women and drug trafficking in from 1900 to 1970.

My research focuses on the histories of crime, gender, and human rights.
