I teach early modern / Renaissance literature and literary theory at St. John's.  I'm working mostly on the cultural consequences of oceanic travel in the early modern period (1500 - 1750).  My latest project is a gallery exhibition at the Folger Shakespeare Library, on view June 10 - Sept 4, 2010.  Here's a web link to some parts of the show:
